Is Discount Door Hardware.ca a secure website?
Absolutely! Our site features 256 bit security encryption for your security. Once you have completed your shopping and are ready to Checkout, your transaction will be finalized on our secure Checkout page. For your security, our system does not retain credit card information.
Are there any minimum quantities required to place an order?
You can order any quantity! There is never a minimum order! That’s the great thing about Discount Door Hardware – Everyday low pricing – for Everyone – regardless of quantity!
Do all your locks include strike plates and screws?
Absolutely! All of our residential and commercial knobs, levers and deadbolts include strike plates and mounting screws! In fact, almost every piece of hardware we sell includes all the necessary fasteners and accessories for installation with the exception of a very few select miscellaneous items like some magnetic closet door catches, stainless steel spring loaded mail slots and washer magnets.

Do I have to purchase online or can I buy direct from your Showroom?
Our Showroom is open for walk-in business and everyone is welcome! If you live in the GTA, we encourage you to visit our Showroom to view numerous specialty products that are not available in our online store. Our extensive Showroom displays will provide you with an up-close preview of our diverse and unique inventory!
Which credit cards do you accept for online and Showroom purchases?
We accept Mastercard, Visa and Amex for all online purchases and we accept Mastercard, Visa, Amex, debit and cash for all Showroom purchases.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes! Our customers located in the Greater Toronto Area can order online and pick-up their orders at our Showroom! Simply select the “Local Pick-Up” option during Checkout and follow the instructions – it’s that simple!
Do you offer installation services?
Yes! We offer select installation services within Newmarket and the surrounding area. Installations are completed by highly experienced senior staff members (either outside of our regular business hours on weekdays or on weekends) and installation time slots are extremely limited. Contact us for more information regarding installations.
Why are prices on your website not listed in USD?
We are a Canadian company and all prices on our website are displayed and charged in Canadian (CAD) dollars. If you are a customer located in the USA, the conversion from Canadian dollars (CAD) to US dollars (USD) will be carried out by your credit card company once the transaction has been completed. You will note that your charges will be approximately 33% less than the prices posted on our website, but this amount may fluctuate based on daily CAD/USD exchange rates.
How quickly will my order be shipped?
We typically ship within 48 hours of receipt of your order, but delays can sometimes occur. If there are any delays due to stock issues or any other unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you by email as soon as possible. Please note that we do not ship on weekends or statutory holidays.
Is Express Shipping available?
We offer Canada Post Xpresspost shipping services as an extra option and on a per-order basis. Not all orders are necessarily eligible to be shipped via Xpresspost. Please contact our Customer Service Team if you require quicker delivery; we will do our best to accommodate your request.
How do I return an item?

Can I place an order by phone?
We are unable to process credit card purchases by telephone; however, if you wish to call in an order for pick-up, please contact our Showroom.
Are taxes and shipping included in the posted prices?
Taxes and shipping are always extra. Our online order form will provide you with the amounts of the applicable taxes and associated shipping costs at Checkout. Canadian customers will pay only the federal tax amount (either GST or HST) for their province or territory. We do not charge provincial sales tax. USA customers will not be taxed; however, may be required to pay duties, taxes or brokerage fees when the goods enter the USA, as determined by US Customs.
Can you provide special quotations for large projects such as subdivisions, condos or apartments?
Yes! Please contact us and provide us with your job details as well as a list of the products and quantities you require and a member of our estimating team will respond to your request promptly!
If I’m looking for something that I can’t find on this website, can I special order it?
Absolutely! We have access to thousands of products not listed on our website. Please email us with your request (manufacturer name, model and/or part number) and we will provide you with a quotation as soon as possible! Please continue to visit us regularly as we are constantly expanding our product lines to offer you the best selection of quality door hardware!
