Spring Hinges Selection Guide:
For a door lighter than 70 lbs. and no larger than 36″ x 90″, you will need one spring hinge (install in the centre).
For a door lighter than 90 lbs. and no larger than 36″ x 90″, you will need two spring hinges (install at centre and bottom).
For a door lighter than 120 lbs. and no larger than 36″ x 96″, you will need three spring hinges.
You can use any good quality anti-friction template butt hinges (such as a BB179 or BB183 series hinge) to fill the remaining hinge spaces on your door.
Spring hinges are not intended for doors thicker than 1 3/4″.
